  1. I bought this one when I got my mk3. Items tended to slide around on it where it's hard plastic so I bought a roll of grip tape and stuck that all over it. https://www.oemvwshop.com/5e5061162-plastic-tray-p1255162
  2. Cheers guys didn't think of just doing that. Will save me taking the whole unit out. If the beading was inside it would be simpler too but on this property every window has the beading outside and the failed windows are bedroom ones so it's up the ladder.
  3. Going to look in to doing this fairly soon. Just changed jobs and the 'tied' house that came with it there are 3 failed glass units. I'm just going to buy new units to go in but the biggest PITA with that is that I'm obviously going to have to take out the old units just to measure them and then refit them until the new units turn up.
  4. Thanks for that. It is a pretty early mk3 (2013).
  5. I've got led lights on it and I assume brake lights too and then bulb section in the centre which I take are indicator, reverse and fog light. It's for a hatchback.
  6. Managed to smash the rear cluster driver side. Looking for a replacement but I cant find a skoda pt number on it. Just seems to be the Hella number. 185.311-02 on the cluster or 185.360-02 on the black bulb holder bit. Looking about on the net I found plenty for sale but am I right in thinking depending on model the cluster is different as far as normal bulbs or part led. Can anyone confirm that the cluster with number is 5E5945112 is the one I need. Thanks.
  7. Probably my Knipex water pump pliers. Use them a hell of a lot round the farm. Got about 6 pairs in different sizes. Good old baler twine is one of the most important bits of kit a farmworker can have in his pocket too.🤣
  8. Roof on one farm building was trying to escape this morning 😱 so it was a quick grab a few old tractor tyres with the JCB telehandler and place them on top. One thing I'm trying to find an answer to is did this BA 747 that broke the 'subsonic' record for crossing the atlantic this morning actually go supersonic? They said it reached speeds of 825mph.
  9. They do lift the car. How else are they expected to check the underneath of the car?
  10. May have been sold ready mixed g13 coolant. Found this site talking about g13 coolant. Strange that it says it's glycerine based and yet on genuine VW bottle it states ethylene glycol https://www.wolflubes.com/EN_EU/Blog/2016/What-you-need-to-know-about-G13-antifreeze-and-coolant.aspx
  11. What's your point when it's already been stated and officially shown on this thread that you can optionally use 504 spec oil instead. Only difference it will make according to VW is higher emissions.
  12. Say if you're on a car ferry and all you can hear are bloody car alarms going off,it's because idiots have forgotten to turn off their interior alarms. This button is for that purpose.
  13. Recently bought some of these. Reading threads on the subject H11's were said to be a direct fit and they were when I fitted mine. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/H11-Led-White-Xenon-711-Super-Headlight-Headlamp-Main-Dipped-Beam-Fog-Bulbs-12v/372853286853?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=641664954076&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
  14. I thought the only thing that couldn't adjusted on the mk3 was the front camber.
