MFD Alignment

Featured Replies

Just got new Yeti 2 days ago, anyway I noticed it looks like text/lines on MFD slope slightly to the left.

On close inspection the MFD looks square to dash surround.

Is this an optical illusion?

LOL or need new ones in my case.

Photo to follow when I get a chance.

I'm not really sure the picture shows it, set camera grid line with bottom line on the MFD.

It almost feels like the whole dash area might be out, but then how would I see a slope if that was the case.

I note the MFD does move very slightly if you press gently and try to move to one side or the other, less than 1mm so I'd say just a tolerance.

I've just blown your photo 4000 x 3000 and had a closer look, I see NO probs.

Summary: "You should have gone to Specsavers"

Seriously, its probably just refraction caused by your glasses.

get a small piece of paper and mark with a pencil the height of a line on one side then compare with the other side of the display.

Personally - looking at your photo's I would say all is ok.

It does look very fractionally out, but the picture is not exactly square.

If you look at the two pods with the silver rings on you can more of the side of one than the other.

So it looks fine to me, maybe it's an optical illusion because you are not sitting square with the display?

Looking closer I think it's the surround as it's curved making any slight alignment issue look worse.

I might try another photo further out but I'm doubting this could be adjusted anyway.

Doesn't anyone else at least get the feeling the MFD slopes, I noticed straight away but I am a perfectionist, pet hate is things not square.

I don't want to be unhappy about any aspect of the car, but from every new car purchase I think I'm setting my standards too high for a mass produced item.
