Hi everyone, really need help with this, one day my front electric windows both stopped working, they still worked if I put the key in the lock and either opened it for down or closed it for up but wouldn't work off the button, the central locking however still worked, today I purchased another drivers side motor, I replaced it and it worked fine for a while, they have now both stopped again :( any help appreciated

First port of call would be to check the fuses to see if they are dead. Then check to see you the switches are getting power to them. Then see if the motor is getting power etc....process of elimination i'm afraid mate

I had intermittent operation of the windows. The Oswestry Skoda dealer diagnosed a faulty motor and replaced it - but the problem was still there when I drove off. Eventually I traced the problem to dirty thin fuses. I replaced them with new ones which were slightly thicker bladed - and the garage fully refunded moneys paid...

I had this problem last year, I just opened the door and wiggled about the rubber bit that the cables come through from the door to the car main body and hey presto worked fine ever since. Worth a try mate.
