Been looking into my clutch slipping problem today and there is oil in between the engine and gearbox so looks like the oil has got into the clutch.

Called a friend who works at a local vw dealer and he said it's a common problem on the golf 1.8T.

Has anybody had one go on there VRS.

May go the dealer at the weekend and see if they will do it under warranty

I can't recall anyone here having had similar problems with the 1.8T engine, but perhaps our resident techies can comment.
