which part to replace for extra options?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I Have a question, I currently own an Octavia 2 from 2006. it has a maxidot screen.

I know that on the 2008+ octavia's and other skoda's it's possible to view oil temperature and current speed in the maxidot. But what I don't understand yet is which module do I need to change on my car? is that the instrument cluster or the convenience controller?

I currently have the following modules installed:

Central Elec: 3C0 937 049 E

Instruments: 1Z0 920 842 D

Convenience: 1K0 959 433 BT

Hope someone knows the answer :)

The facelift cluster is very different from the early ones, running different software. I am not sure that replacing anything would give you more functions. The wiring on the facelift cluster is also not compatible with the early cars so even swapping those is not an option.

so by upgrading the cent. electric cluster this function does not come up?
