VRS debadge tomfoolery

Featured Replies

Hey all,

Well the remap may not have worked out, but I decided to make a far more excting 'mod' to my otherwise fresh and standard VRS..... (this one gives 30bhp more!!*)

*downhill only.

This isn't for everyone I know, but I decided to remove my 'Octavia' badge, as I feel the style of the badge dates the car a bit. So the Octy badge has gone (the post-badge gunge took some shifting!), but I've kept the VRS badge :)

Cheers.

Not for me. Looks odd now

Clean that filthy pipe too :-)

How does it look 'odd' when even with the Octy badge on, it wasn't symmetrical?

But yep, won't be for everyone ;) ... I just think it looks cleaner and more minimalist.

i like it, took my badges off too, makes the rear end cleaner so to speak!

I agree i did the same Looks nice with just the vrs badge mate i took off the original vrs badge too tho and replaced with one of these gel resin ones off ebay :)

Ooooh. I like that, especially with you keeping the vRS badge.

Also lolling at the photoshopping on the licence plate.

sorry not for me, it is all or nothing approach. Either no badges or std. Maybe a new style Octaiva badge?

appreciate your car though and if you like good for you

now that's what we are talking about....nice job

Looks good with the new badges.

The old logo by itself now looks lost and in the wrong place too, almost awkward.

Thanks for the views guys  .... good and bad, after all we're all fussy about our own prides & joy, and passionate about these fantastic cars!

I like it with the octavia badge removed. Mine had already been done b4 I bought my car and deffo wouldnt change it.

i like the old style badge's ,they may be dated but then so is the car! :)

True. :sun: But nothing wrong with some subtle updating.

look nice, loving the vrs badge, done the same on my one (its good to let ppl no its a VRS lol).

Marko

I just took my badges off as i have done with every car i've had,

Agree the vrs badge looks odd on its own

I've ordered the VRS gel badge above, and the updated Octavia badge, so will be moving to that 'look' when those arrive ;)

I'm with Mr. G. I'm not one for sticking newer badges on cars. It usually spoils the car as it doesn't suit it. The old style vRS logo on the front, for examaple looks better than the new ones, as the new cars aren't as square as the MK1.

However, the new Octavia badge looks awesome, but the vRS badge on it's own looks a bit weird, like somebody has nicked the Octavia badge.

............. like somebody has nicked the Octavia badge.

....and conveniently spent 2 hours removing all the residue and glue sludge. Aren't thieves kind these days ;)

vRS badge should have been on the other side. ;)

I know it's a Fabia but would work on the Octavia as well.

Love the look of the Mk1 Octavia vRS. Wish i could buy one and start a collection. :(

I held it up to do it that way but didnt suit the octy that great :)

vRS would look ok on its own if it was a little bit higher, just looks odd because it's so low down!

Well the VRS gel badge arrived today (linked further up the thread) but something has gone wrong somewhere as it's not the size badge I thought it was; it's about 2cm across: tiny!

So decided to succumb to pressure from the 'conventionalists' and just completely debadge the whole lot ;) (...when/if it stops raining!)

Not an Octavia, but here's what I did

That looks really nice mate

I have gone for the fully debadged look on mine now and love it!..... (except the round Skoda boot badge of course).
