Convenience unit faulty can you help?

Featured Replies

i have now got an issue whereby the central locking on my mk1 octy vrs will not lock using the key in the drivers lock, nor using the remote. if i use the remote to unlock everything unlocks except the drivers door. both mirrors work/move, but only the passenger one is heated. i have a feeling that the convenience unit is dead, would you agree? does anyone know the part number for a mk1 octy vrs convenience unit ? the car is a 2002 model. are there any other units eg from a golf or seat leon which will do the job? do there have the same part numbers? has anyone got one of these units for sale? how much for it? or how much should i be looking to pay roughly?

thanks

Lee

If you have 4 power windows, then the most likely cause is the driver's door control unit, which is an integral part of the window motor.

I have both parts if you need them ;-)

Hi Kriss

I could not see the PM in my personal messages. Sorry if i am being a bit thick. How much are you asking for the parts? to fix the problem?

thanks

Lee
