Insurance discount for "AutoBraking"

Featured Replies

Is that an Adv-article by them,

coming on behalf of their sponsors the Insurance/banking industry?

Lets get real about this,

but we will need to wait and see their figures over a period of time once there are enough 'small/cheaper' vehicles fitted with the system being driven on UK roads to find out.

If 'Frontal damage' is greatly reduced on vehicles with 'Autobraking', will there be an increase in claims for 'Rear End damage'.

Maybe & quite possibly not,

(if they stop fitting ECO tyres that are basically cr4p in adverse weather and road conditions)

but we will see, because the muppet that can not control their vehicle safely & require an automated stopping,

might become even less able to control it,

or they might be next to dangerous when they get in another car within the family ownership.,

Winter road conditions in the UK & poor Salt Treatment etc will tell just how the system assists in reducing fender benders and claims.

if you reduct the frontal impacts you should also reduce the rear shunts by the same amount, so an overall reduction in claims, good for all of our premiums surely

but getting the muppets behind the wheel to pay attention is the best way to reduce collision ( says he who had minor shunt in march writing off his roomster :( )
