Well, I've had the vRS 3 weeks and I've got my first stone chip

Nope, it's not from driving down the motorway, it happened when the car was parked in the drive and I was at work. Some 'king chavvie kid must have been chucking stones around and one hit the car on the tailgate.

So I've got a flake of paint about 5mm by 3mm missing, it's gone down to the primer, not the metal. I've asked the neighbours but they didn't see anything.

Popped to the local dealer at lunchtime and got a touch up kit. I'm going to read the threads about paint chips on Briskoda.net and then attempt a repair myself. I'll post some piccies and let you know how I got on.

Thought you were talking about having your car chipped, not the paintwork

Hahaha, yeah I'd swap a paint chip for 220bhp :-)

So would I, but I've yet to see a chip for a fabia that would deliver that much power!

(Hell, I'd sell my mum for such a chip - sorry JaneC!)

Buy yourself a very small (artist's) paint brush to do the job, and don't forget to buy some thinners too.

Yeah that's the way....lot's of patience and very small amounts of paint on an equally small brush - it will take ages but is very worthwhile when your done and it look's great
