Just ordered a pioneer avh-2400bt double din unit to go in the fabia. It has built in phone kit just wondered where have people fitted the mic for there phone kits. Is it a simple job to fit it in the factory location by the interior light?

I put mine up on top of the plastic cover running up the a-pillar

Is it easy to get the cable through that way from rear of head unit

Yeah the trim just pulls off.

Quite easy to route cables through if you've got a long piece of wire or something similar.

I put mine above the rear view mirror, apparently there's much less road noise than when I had it on my dash in my old car (which had much less road noise than the skoda).

The cable goes over the top of the glovebox, through door seals (just pull them back slightly), "over/under" the headlining and out in the middle of the car onto the windscreen. Nice and neat.

I've gone with just under the heater controls for now. I've never had a phone kit in a car before so can always move it if it's a but crap there
