Going to order our new Octy in the next couple of days and was wondering if I should get the Audience Sound System upgrade with 12 speakers at

I think it's a good choice, the sound will improve a lot!

From what I have read the speaker upgrade is now available with the Stream head unit as well.

I have read on a German Forum that the software has been updated and will allow exactly what you are looking for from Model Year 2006 cars (starting build week 22), it should theoretically be possible to update the software on existing Audience models to the new version, I suppose it will be a question of getting Skoda UK to firstly acknowledge the new features and then to offer the upgrade at dealerships.

Ach, I've just talked with the dealer. He told me the car will be built on week 19! Do you think a firmware upgrade will be made available? Maybe I should talk to the dealer after I have received the car and checked the MP3 info display.

I hope so, because I'll want it; my car was built in week 13 and I'm picking it up next week.

Bah, mine will be built around week 22 too, will this mean I'll have that larger steering wheel etc that have been updated too? :thumbdwn:

nomad, there isn't even any news that it will be possible to upgrade. It's just a (hopeful) suggestion that it can be done.
