Max boost pressure CR170

Featured Replies

Just wondering could anyone tell be the safe turbo boost pressure on a VRS CR170 diesel. What do most remappers set them too?

Ive had a re map and Im concerned by the read out from my Blue Tooth ODB scanner.

Thanks.

I don't know, but I would imagine somewhere between 1.6 1.7bar if it's anything like the PD170. I'm guessing you're seeing 2601mbar from your scanner?

Using torque OBD for android I'm getting 22.3 psi converts to 1.5 bar under full acceleration right past 3000rpm. Just seems high, If that helps?

That value's coming from the MAP sensor so is absolute, i.e. 1 bar atmospheric plus 1.5 bar boost. Sounds fine. I assume your software is subtracting the atmospheric pressure?

Im not sure if it subtracting it, it shows 22.3 or 1.5 bar on the display. There are options to set sea level hight so I may need to enter this data?

I also have options for boost calculations either MAP, MAF, or ALT.
