Hi all I have a Octavia ambiente estate 1984cc petrol and it's standard year 2002

What can I get done to it to make it have a bit more umph!

Is it completely standard? Maybe look a new air filter, exhaust?

yea concentrate on making it breathe better first. but to be honest cost wise if you want more oomph you would be better off starting with a turbocharged engine, even if its a diesel. tuning a n/a engine is harder your looking at cams, gas flowing etc to see any 'real' gains. im not a mechanic or anything so feel free to correct me if im wrong
