Skoda Yeti Urban, 2.0tdi - 2012 - electric folding mirrors?

Featured Replies

Hey all. - I recently collected my urban - which I'm loving - but it's difficult to know what options I should have - my handbook shows every possible option, which I obviously don't have.

Should I have folding mirrors? If I have - I don't know how they work.....

Thanks

Joe

If you have folding mirrors there will be a 5th symbol depicting a folding mirror on the wing mirror rotary control on the drivers door. Think however this feature is only standard on the Elegance (MY12 on).

See page 58 of the current 05.12 owners handbook;

Optional items are clearly marked in the manual with an asterisk. You can't imagine they would print unique manuals for every one of the thousands of permutations possible would you?! :giggle:

As TP said only the Elegance spec level gets the folding mirrors as standard.

Press the lock button to lock the car, then press it again and hold it down for a few seconds.

If the mirrors fold you have them. :)

Six months in and I didn't know that. Learning somethig new every day

I only found the switch to do that yesterday, but in my defence I've only had it a week ;) Didn't know about the trick with the key.

Yep, and if you open my Yeti and retain pressure on the open button of the key fob - the windows lower (can be set via MFD to only drivers window)

Ah, that one I had found while trying to figure out what could be changed in the MFD. There seem to be an awful lot more toys than on my '03 Octy Elegance, though at the time the L&K was the top spec.

I also have the diesel Urban (brilliant piece of kit). There are no electric folding mirrors and no facility to spec them as there are no factory options on the Urban, and only a few dealer fit options (alas, electric mirrors not one of them). Just be grateful of the £2.5k free extras you do have - I do, especially the Sports seats.

In Serbia when I ordered my Yeti I asked for this option, electronic folding mirror, code number PW4,which was zero cost option here in my case, somebody should check if it is the same on UK market.

I don't think "zero cost option" is something occurs to SUK.

Well they have! It is a zero cost option on the Elegance spec. BUT you cannot NOT have the option. hehehe I'll go sit with Bob (in the corner).

Actually, in this day and age, it should be possible to print off a unique car-specific manual using manufacturer's codes or whatever for options that are fitted. It would save an awful lot of trouble for the customer.

Press the lock button to lock the car, then press it again and hold it down for a few seconds.

You don't need to press twice - just hold the lock button down for 3 seconds and the doors lock and the mirrors fold. At least they do on my 2012 Elegance.
