The Athlon 750 should be 100*7.5 and will probably hit 1GHz IF and only IF you have a good HSF on it (it will get a tad toasty). You'll need to probably bump up the voltage a little (and yes, I mean a little as if you bump it up too much it will fry it).

The 1.67GHz one then - sounds like you got a Palomino core, which topped out around that figure so it's not gonna take a lot more I reckon. You can probably get the FSB up from 133 to about 136..138 depending on the rest of the motherboard. Again a little more juice will help. Too much tends to hold you back on that one as it just gives heat.
