Newbie Saying Hi

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Im Craig and live up near Newcastle Upon Tyne (27 Years Young).

Currently Drive a BMW E46 M3 which unfortunately will be getting sold due to needing to save more cash for house plans.

I have been thinking what to replace the M3 with over the past few weeks and doing mountain biking i decided on an estate car, Still wanting some fun i thought of a VRS but then have since been looking into the 4x4 models elegance 1.8T (150bhp) thinking i could turn this into a little wolf in sheeps clothing thus being a mini version of RS4 estate (Well not quite) but a great little sleeper.

Im a total novice to Skoda but hoping this forum will help out and i will apologise now if i repeat any common questions and will try and research before asking.

The plan, Well keep the body standard (Sleeper Style) long story short would like to think 290hp to 300hp would be a good target? with around 5K to spend on the engine/suspenion etc.

Once the BMW has gone i can start searching for base car with a budget of £1500 ish which i hope will be enough.

Many thanks taken your time to read.

Craig.....

Welcome mate, sounds like a plan

Im sure with a turbo upgrade, fmic and a good map etc you can get some gd power out of it. Like the wolf in sheeps clothing idea.

Im fully debadged on my fab vrs and do get some disappointed looks when we overtake people and leave them with a skoda badge disappearing into the distance lol

Hi Mark,

Yeah the plan would be:

New upgraded turbo

FMIC

Dump Valve

Air Filter Kit

Facet fuel pump

Full exhaust system

Trail waste gate with screamer pipe

Stage 2 remap to suit all above modifications

The engine fully checked over,

bottom end gasket/seal kit

Head gasket Kit

Arp head bolts

Timing belt change

Oil pump changed

Any other items the appointed garage recommend (Jabba Sport)

Proberbly missed some items of as my list is on my works computer

Cheers Craig......

Sounds a gd project. Jabbasport certainly wont miss anything thats for sure.

Keep us updated with the project Craig. Will be interesting to see the stealth killer progress.
