Passenger rear window wonder won't work

Featured Replies

So last night one of my mates managed to do something to my window the winder turns but the window doesn't open or shut.

I can move the window up and down by hand though.

I know the door card will have to come off but what am I looking for?

Thanks :)

Either the pin that holds the glass into the regulator has come out, or the regulator has gone.

If the window is down, and you wind up, does it go up or does it just go round?

If the window is down an I wind it up then it goes up.

I can wind it down to so long as the window is not in the seal. It's like there isn't enough strength to wind the window out of the seal?

The plastic peg that holds the window into the mechanism will have come out then.

Mine did exactly the same.

Tape the window up, remove the door card and regulator. The peg will be in the bottom of the door.

Should push back into the hole in the glass, then clip into the regulator :)

x2 i had my door stripped 2 days ago and can see how it works.

What's the regulator guys?

I haven't had chance to look yet so I'm having a guess here haha!

Do I need to remove the backing (silver sheet) behind the door card?

My rear left window has done the same since ive had the car. Havnt got around to doing it as i never use it so always forget so this has reminded me to do it while the car is off the road

Yeah, it holds all of the window winder mechanism and runners.

The guide below is for the front, but the principal is the same

Thanks mate. May give it a whirl, didn't want to really go fiddling behind there due to the chances of them leaking again and that.
