The Worm has Turned

Featured Replies

email sent to Skoda today:

" Bought this car on 21st March and on the next day it failed to start!

It has been back to the dealers ( XXXX ) four times and is there at the moment - has been for 3 WEEKS!

The fault was battery draining and was eventually found to be the alternator controller sending power to the alternator when not even switched on.

A new controller has been fitted, BUT . .

It needs programming, which needs to be done via computer link with Milton Keynes. Their internet has been down for those 3 weeks and I look forward to yet another weekend without my car.

Please can you advise by return what can be done to rectify this.

I have tried to be reasonable with ' XXXX ' about this, but in 3 months have only had use of the car for about 10 days."

It's an Elegance 1.6 TDi 90ps, although at present it is a doorstop zero ps!

Report to skoda, dealers hate that
