Just bought a 2001 Skoda Octavia tdi today, and i was thinking about a few matters.

- I want an armrest between the driver and passenger chair. Does any original part exist? Is it difficult to mount it?

- How do you remove the ugly hook next to the exhaust. Someone said it was removable.

Read somewhere that it is possible to fit an armrest (I think one of the members have done so).

As for the hook I wouldn't bother removing it as it could prove invaluable should you have a front end shunt and it needs to be pulled onto the back of a recovery vehicle.

I thought the hook was possible to take on and off. Actually I'm thinking of the hook you strap a (what do you call it? ) hanger?trolly? whatever, the thing on two wheels you put all your stuff in and hook onto your car

It sounds like you will need to remove the whole towbar assembly to remove the tow ball.
