Saw these on gumtree and took a gamble as they were 125 miles away, turned out a real find in my opinion 17 inch, 2x new tyres 2x half worn.

TBH forget how old the rims are they really suit the shape of the car. With road legal tyres they have to be a bargain in anyones book

Thanks for the input fellas if it was a resounding "gash" i may have reconsidered hehe. At the end of the day the octy 1 is not the most cutting edge looking car is it? So old school wheels compliments her, avg Joe on street and neighbours etc think they look amazing, but a forum when not face to face people can be honest as you like, as they never need to see you

aye on ebay part worn 205 50 17's x4 are about £100 plus post. Not everyones taste but for £80 they just have to go round and round

nah its great, i wanted honesty, not the local yes men on my street, and usual family obligatory positivity. I can guage genuine opinion with a lot of honest responses. well its world full of bigger problems than me wanting everyone to congratulate me, although i am pleased your opinion is not that of the majority so far, or my eye must really be off. Id get £40 back for scrap at least

I never thought of checking gumtree and now i have theres loads of bargains near me, none will fit my car but im sure some will pop up. Nice one

just search generally like "alloys wheels" alot of people advertise not knowing what they have, so may ad the perfect wheels as just that.

You know my thoughts. For 80 quid, you simply cannot go wrong.

And yes, Gumtree is awesome. I buy loads of guitar parts off there!

Nope - I think they look pretty nifty. Taking into account the cost, they're a bit of a bargain.

Take into account I bought a set of montreal 2's without tyres needing a refurb for £100 - spent £50 on refurbing them, and then stuck some tyres on...

...And you got bigger wheels without the need for a refurb and with tyres on for less. I'd say you got a pretty decent deal!

cheers man, im getting a 90 percent in the like category so far, so........ ill keep em i think. i am noticing a little more effort needed to get moving with these on compared to the 185 r15's
