Featured Replies

Hi,

I've recently managed to buy x2 'classic' Skoda badges...

... and wondered how easy it would be to fit them to the front and back in place of my current Skoda badges??

Cheers,

John

Any info on part numbers or fitting?

The info I can find suggests the new badges are bigger, and so the badge would not fit into the recess on the Fabia I grille.

Part Numbers

1ST 853 601A AUL - Front

1ST 853 630 AUL - Rear

and yes the front is about 1cm bigger i cut the underside edges at a 45 degree angle and silicone glued it in place and its fine

Thanks for info but i'm hoping to fit the older badges on without buying the new style badges, that will probably come later when i can't fit these, sell them and buy the new ones!! :D

I've got the same old ones on my car. I just held them over the gas hobs and bent slightly in the middle. Be carefully. Too much and they will lift in the middle. An they catch fire quickly!!! Best of luck. They look the dogs when they are on.

Or are those metal? Mine are plastic.

Been rockin' 'em for years B)

How did you do that mate??

The badge is a grille badge from a pre '93 favorit. I filed off the lugs each side. Filed the outer edges so they were slightly concave top to bottom, gently heated in the oven and formed it to the curve of the boot.

Stuck it on with trim tape et voila.

That pic with the reg plate was in 2007 before the Czech trip and I'd had it on for at least 2 years before that. B)

Cheers, i'll have to give that a try. Not sure where my badges are from really as they were both eBay jobs. Got 1 already, just waiting for the 2nd to arrive. B)
