Part number for European Adaptive Bi-Xenon Headlights Please :)

Featured Replies

I am in the preocess of replacing my Octavia L&K with a Superb Elegance and I dont really want to pay in excess of £1000 for a set of headlights from a dealer (Its coming from a UK dealer but I live in Germany).

Would anyone be able to give me the part number for the right set of headlights so I can buy a set from ebay Germany or any advice as to how I may be able to overcome this problem.

Also I have read the manual for the car and found that there is a "Tourist Light" setting accessed via the cars system settings. Does this give me a flat beam or asymetric beam for european roads that will get me through the BFG Test(TUV)?

Any help would be appreciated especially if it saves me money :)

You will not pass the BFG light test on tourist lights mode, also as you know that you need to pass the light test before the car can be fully BFG. Any LHD lights on Germany E-bay should pass BFG. Have you looked on BFGbay, Ufish4it & sixth sense for the the lights you require.

Thanks very much for the help, and the ebay search :) I dont suppose you know if theres anything needed on the back of the car ie. fog and reverse lights swapped over ?

The car comes with a fog light and a reverse light on each side, so no need to swap them over

To be 100% sure of the correct headlights, look at the part numbers on your headlights and just change the 3T2 for a 3T1 (3T is MKII Superb, the 1 = LHD and 2 = RHD - this goes for ALL part numbers, if there is a 0 instead of a 1 or 2 then it means it is for both LHD and RHD cars)

So for example, using the part numbers in the eBay ad:

(RHD) 3T2 941 016 E, becomes 3T1 941 016 E (LHD)

(RHD) 3T2 941 015 E, becomes 3T1 941 015 E (LHD)

The 016 and 015 identify a left and right headlight.

HTH.

A little offtopic, but:

I have seen this before; UK/RHD cars on German plates. Why?! Is it cheaper, or what is the reason, if I may ask?

Its not that at all, the car will be in Germany on UK plates as the person that owns the car is a UK national sent oversea to work for / on behalf of the UK goverment in Germany, because of this the car must have LHD lights as the tourist mode is not good enought to pass the TUV test. The reason you see RHD/UK cars on Germany plates is because the price of second hand cars in Germany is very expension compared to the UK these cars are owned by German national. I hope this answers your question.

I am looking to buy European Adaptive Bi-Xenon Headlights my car is fitted with 3T2 941 015 E & 3T2 941 016 E. I understand what Gizmo68 is saying about 3T2 being UK & 3T1 being european however since i have looked to buy the headlight i have found,

3T1 941 015 E & 3T1 941 016 E

3T1 941 017 E & 3T1 941 018 E

3T1 941 015 B & 3T1 941 015 B

what is the difference with the lights. As i have spent the morning fitting my old halagen light to only find that the connects are different and the they will not fit.
