damaged turbo :(

Featured Replies

hey guys, took my vrs for a revo map @gotboost in bridgend, the guy diagnosed a whistling comeing from the turbo,he sed the map wont take affect because the turbo is damaged. so ive been looking a4 a replacement turbo for it, now i have been looking a standard 1 to put bak on or spend a little extra and go for a stage 1 hybrid. but all the turbos i have looked at say they only fit asz engines and mine a blt, would it still fit?

thanks

sure that it sounds like a police car siren if turbo is fooked only when you rev it just do search for blown turbo on fabia on google

not a fabia i know but same engine and you can hear the noise

Craig and Stef wouldnt have wrongly diagnosed it mate!

The ASZ turbos fit but you'll need to blank the egr port on the manifold and map the light out.

Got boost supplied my hybrid, one thing though...make sure you get a stage 2 hybrid for the extra £35!

Or you could get them to fit mine for you as I'm selling the car!

my turbos not that bad yet agent 47 :)

That turbo in the vid is one of the worst I've heard lol mine never got quite that bad before it came off lol.

Yeah I did, Rhys his name was?

Hmmm, mine on an asz make a whistle and has done for the last 30000 miles and in that time it's also been mapped by shark. Never got louder and is still going strong!

Mine makes a similar noise but not as loud, the turbo has only done 10k. Should I be worried ?

Mine makes a little whistle when first started in the mornings but that's it's really, pulls stron no smoke 120.000 later and still running same turbo ;)

I'm glad to hear that, mine is more noticeable from a cold start.

That vid was in another turbo thread and apparently it went bang shortly afterwards.
