Hi folks,

on a recent trip south of the border i thought i would give the sat nav in my 2lt urban a try out,

she lost her voice "went really quiet" for 1st hundred miles then she appeared to have found a packet of throat losengers as she started talking for about five minutes at scotch corner then lost it again till i reached Harrogate, Same thing for journey next day to Liverpool, However on journey back from Liverpool to Scotland she was very chatty.

Any ideas ?

Press setup and find announcement volume and turn this back up.

Mine went weird with the same thing last month.

Turned out the announcement volume settings had set themselves to lowest setting!

No idea why, but turning them back up solved it.

While she is speaking if you move the volume wheel on the steering wheel it reduces or increases her speech volume but only if you catch her while she is speaking otherwise it just does your radio volume etc etc

went into the set up and turned up her volume, weird how it came back half way through journey though ! also changed setting from economy to fast route as she did seem to send me on a route i would never have taken before i had sat nav.

Biggest bug bear is the volume turning nav down and not nav and radio together.

Even Ford added in a mute button on screen, and newer nav's I'm told the volume can be set to reduce all evenly, or just nav or just media.
