Only had my octy vrs a few weeks and im looking to replace the worn gear knob trim, as it bugs me! lol

Is it easy to do, as it looks like it just clips/wedges it to leather piece?

I got bored one day and decided to clean under the leather on the gear stick, just it pulls off with a series of plastic clips and the gear stick itself has a snap clip on by the looks of it

Just levers off from the bottom , As em says the knobs on a clip , just open it and replace with a jubilee clip .

Can i not just replace selector pattern piece, rather than the whole knob??

Yep ,the selector pattern piece can be removed by gently liting from the bottom.

Why not check out a new one from from Superskoda, they have them with the V logo and are availalable in matt or shiney chrome.

Ummm interesting.... OEM silver or matt chrome. Not sure if the chrome one would look odd with the silver dash trims??

If you have the same gearstick then it is just a push fit.

Carefully put something thin like a trim tool or edge of old credit card between the the bottom of the badge and the leather and gently lever the badge up and out.

so if iv got a VRS all ready this new badge will fit my car? in the site it says if i have the same stick it will not fit? an ideas?

I just bought the chrome later type for my vrs , its a straight swop just levered it off and popped the new 1 on , pm me an email addy and i can mail you a pic of the fittings on the back if that helps , you can compare what you have .
