Hi guys, I recently bought a mk1 octavia vrs with the AUQ engine. i was out in the car today and it was running fine but then i put my foot down it seemed like there was no turbo kicking in. has the turbo gone?? would the car smoke badly if the turbo has gone?? Some times it does smoke a bit and its white smoke not black. when the car is started with cold engine it ticks over a bit funny for 30 seconds or so it almost sounds like the exhaust is blowing a bit. Any ideas or suggestions? cheers.

Welcome to the forum. Difficult to say from that diagnoses (no offence). Is there a member near you with VCDS that can plug in your car and scan it for you??
