Newcomer - Graduated from Fabia I vRS to Fabia II vRS

Featured Replies

Hi

Been dipping in and out of the site for a couple of years, but have finally found the time to look at it in detail - looks great, and I'll definitely be keeping in close touch. There are some seriously knowledgeable people and utter car nuts on this site!

For those of you out there who have been mulling over the whys and wherefores of the Fabia II vRS compared with the Fabia I vRS, I did 35,000 miles in an 04 Fabia I in two years, then traded it in 11 months ago against a 6-month-old Fabia II vRS, in which I've already covered 15,000 miles. I'll hopefully get round to summarising my thoughts on the two cars in the correct forum soon, but in the meantime I'll be more than happy to answer any specific questions.

In the meantime, I'm thinking of upgrading another of our cars (not a Skoda) to a 1.8 TSi-engined Yeti, so it's fair to say I've 'come over all Skoda' after owning about 20 other cars in my time from different makes! Again in the correct forum, I'll be pleased to hear replies from members on a range of random questions about this potential purchase - such as what the offroad button really does (and if it's that important, why doesn't the Octavia Scout have one), and whether fuel consumption on a 1.8 Yeti is that much worse than on the 1.8 Octavia Scout...

Looking forward to hearing from people when I get round to posting.

Stephen
