Right! Who's the kiddie when it comes to VCDS?!

Featured Replies

Don't know exactly how it works, so I don't know if VCDS works on the principle that there are areas where you can just see what's adjustable for every car or whether stuff only shows as options when cars with relevant software are plugged in, but is it possible to see what one's able to switch on & off even without pluggin it into a car?

Just wondering, cos I may well need some programming done now i've got my Bolero in, but I have no idea if the things i'm after are even possible or not. I know someone near-ish who has VCDS, but by their own admission they'd have to be shown where to look/go to adjust much to do with stereos and It might be a wasted journey if they're not realistic parameters.

They're not major issues and I'm not gonna be devastated if I can't change them, buuuuut, my Audience h/u would drop the stereo volume when the parking sensors activate and it doesn't do this with the Bolero, just keeping the stereo at the same volume, and it'd just be handy if I could it working. (other VERY minor tweak would be that the fast forward/rewind buttons are now redundant but the function is activated by holding down the skip track buttons instead, so a niceity not a necessity)

Over to you guys on the Bolero specifics, but an answer to the first bit about how VCDS works/displays would be very useful having never seen it...

I've not yet found a way of looking around vcds without it being connected to a car.
