Finally a Citigo on order.

Done the deed and ordered a Citigo. 75ps 5 door Elegance greentech in silver leaf metallic.

Added a few extras as well so just got to wait now for it sometime in September.

Only the second new car I will have ever owned, but hard to not to have new at that price.

Downsizing from a 1.9 Vx diesel so that will take some getting used to. But with retirement looming next year it makes sense to buy a smaller more economical type car like this. Sort of a retirement pressie to myself.

I'm downsizing from a Nissan Qashqai 2.0 4WD CVT, so a bit of a change for me too.

Coolant pump belt change

My 1.8tsi Octavia scout coolant pump was leaking via the impeller. I'd like to change the small belt (not the big timing belt!) that spins the impeller as well as the pump etc but the left handed bolt is stuck. I've not tried too much force as the captive gear it holds moves when I try and I'm concerned that I might break something internally. Would anybody have any experience removing this bolt or known methods of doing so? The photo shows the gear and the bolt I'm refering to is holding this g

Hi all, I'm trying to get at the lower radiator hose in my 2016 Octavia. I've looked on google and found that I should remove the seven t25 screws. 5 on the bumper splash shield and one on each side connected to the fender. The shield seems loose, but it won't come off and I don't want to try and pry it too much as I'm concerned that I'll crack it. Can someone tell me what additional screws, or maybe clips, need to be removed to get this off? many thanks for all info

I have a 12 year old Skoda Octavia mk3 TSI 1.4 with 155000 miles on the clock. It has JUST scraped through its MOT after repeated emissions failures due to carbon buildup. The mechanic has told me he doesn't want to see the car back next year as it won't pass again and cleaning the carbon deposit off wouldn't be worth it given the age and value of the car. I've read a lot about Walnut Blasting to remove carbon buildup. Would it be worth it in my case or is the mechanic right, and I should just

Hi! I'm in need of some help please. My Octavia estate sat for 8 months unused. The battery went flat (AGM Varta) and doesn't charge. I got the car started with a different battery and then swapped in the dead battery to see if it would start charging. BUT, now the engine was running I needed to move the car a bit and found that the gear stick won't go into reverse gear. It can select 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th but not reverse. I've ordered up a new AGM battery (due in a couple of days) but this reverse

Prepping to do 2.0TSi clutch in future - plenty of time and opportunity as I mentioned recently I have a 1.8T L&K Octy also ! I'd seen a comment at some point someone recommending to change rear main seal whilst you are in there. Something to watch for? Also as below
