Always The Friggin' Way

Featured Replies

On way home today, at 5.30p.m (just after the garages had closed) - my ruddy rear brake pipe exploded, cant use car, cant get it fixed until monday. MOT was booked for 8 a.m monday morning.

Fortunately no one was hurt i was right by my house but brakes just went..........

All the work i did for the mot and it still found a way to try and fail me.

Damn always the way mate. Why is it always at the weekends.

Hope you sort it ok :)

I had a braked hose go on one of my old volvo's, all i can say is thank god i had a handbrake else i would have berried it into a hedge

Found a guy who works from home in a wee garage type thing, he knocked me up a pipe with the ends all i had to do was get it in position and bend it around to follow previous path. A quick bleed and we are done, he didnt want anything as it only took him 2 mins to make, gonna go back and get all of em done, should only take an hour, so he has estimated £30 all in if i fit em.

New pipe material too that does not rot, needs no protection nothing, im well happy

Its people like him we need more of lol

absolutely!!!! genuine guy, dropped his dinner to get me back on road. At least in future i know i can trust him to be honest with his time and work done

So it was one of the hard pipes that split and not a flexy one? Did it get a advisory at the last MOT?

hard pipe leading from the flexi down the control arm, and no no advisory last year, however the black coating was still over it and it looked fine but rotten inside
