Anyone else trying to tax their car today, car tax department phone lines are down and so is the online thing, anyone got an idea of whats going on, sent them an email asking but they are closed i guess. All the automated reply messages say is go to your local DVLA office, well, i dont have one and its sunday tomorrow :think:

Someone told me earlier today that the Passport Agency and DVLA are unable to process payments.

bloody great on the last day of the month !!!!

Take a screen shot of the web page being down and just tax it at the post office on Monday, you'll be fine with that.

yeah i have emailed them asking to advise, sent email in my saved folder as proof, pretty sure i will be fine with that. Just dont want an auto fixed penalty cause i got a suspicion that its all done through the computer system now.

It is but it isn't that quick, they systems are a week or two behind always as it takes time for the PO to update the DVLA.

It took over 3 months for fixed penalty to come through from one of my old cars.
