Intake Air Temperature Sensor / MAF

Featured Replies

I have a Skoda Octavia 1.9tdi DSG. My car has been losing power occassionally over the last few weeks. I today took it to a garage with VAG computer & it threw up the fault code P0113 which the mechanic said indicated was a fault Intake Air Temperature Sensor. I called Trade Parts Stockport for a price on this part & they said that according them the fault code indicated that i needed a MAF. Is this correct? Is it that the Intake Air Temperature sensor is located within the MAF?

My recollection is that on these engines the intake temp sensor is part of the MAP sensor (ie the boost pressure sensor) rather than the MAF.

Have a look here, sounds like the same fault possibly:

Thanks. I'm not sure what to buy, the loss of power seems to be getting worse. :-(
