Hi all I've been waiting for the service indicator to pop up on the fabia as I knew it was due a service soon and lo and behold sunday it appeared. It's due an "inspection" service plus sparks etc that are due every 20k.

2 questions

1 if you service early do you still follow the service indicator reset as I assume this basically warns you after a set milage. (out of interest not in this instance)

2nd ill be doing an oil change as part of the inspection service, does resetting the inspection service light automatically start the milage count down until the next oil change service? Or do I need to reset the oil service indicator separately?

Ps I have a Haynes so know the procedure and items which need doing just wasn't sure of the two questions above.

I believe the indicator warns on both mileage and time, whichever comes sooner, as this year I've only done 5k miles and it started warning me based on time, so I would reset it when you service it.

Out of interest is there any way you can post what should be done at the inspection service? As far as I know its oil, oil filter, pollen filter, air filter, and have a good look at everything in case anything else needs sorting, but I'm going off generic advice from the friend who's doing it...
