Fuel Leak.

Featured Replies

I apologise if this has been on here before, but has anyone ever had a problem, after they've just filled there car up, with fuel coming out of the cap and leaking down the side of the car?

I filled my car up Thursday night and the car was clean, then when i got to work Friday morning, i noticed there had been liquid running from the fuel cap, but it wasn't happening at the time i noticed it, so it must have happened whilst moving, and i hadn't over filled it, as there was plenty of room for another

Never had this on mine - I'm assuming that you checked the obvious stuff like the filler cap was on properly, and it was definitely diesel running down the car? :D

If it happens after the next fill-up, might be worth dropping it into the dealer to check the seals.....

Yeah, checked the cap was on properly at least 2 or 3 times, and it was definately diesel.

Will give it a wash down and check the next time i fill up.

Cheers.
