Sorry to sound a little dim but I have just been told by my dealer that my order has a build date of week 33. Does anyone know when I should expect delivery?

Delivery to the dealer is claimed as three weeks later than build date, so that would make week 36 - September registration on the new plate!

Mine was built during week 25 (week beginning Monday 18th June) and it's been (according to the dealer's tracking system) at the Port of Emden for the last week and a half.

If it arrived in the UK over the weekend I think realistically it would be another 2 weeks before I would be able to take delivery and that would be week 30 to 31 so 6 weeks from build to availability.

I'm sure I've seen others get them quicker....mine must be the only one waiting for a boat to Grimsby!

Either that or the dealer's system isn't being updated.

My first 'provisional' build date was week 33 BTW so if the build date you've been given is provisional rather than confirmed it may well prove to be a fast changing target.

Mine took 15 days (built 2nd April driven away 17th April 2012) from when it was built to me driving it away from the dealers.

Mine was built week 25 too. Monday 25th June it was already in Emden, and this Monday they told me it had reached Grimsby on Friday 29th. Dealer called me this morning at it was with them, I collect a week today. I saw it today, and have posted a piccy. Can't wait.

Mine's in Grimsby now apparently (but not according to TrackMySkoda), so maybe the week after next.

Mine is also for week 33. Dealer says early September for delivery.

Saw mine at the dealer's today, still in ita travelling garb and will collect on Friday.

According to 'TrackMySkoda' it's still at the port in Germany.

The reason I was given the build date was I rang the dealer to enquire whether I could add the auto dimming mirror. He said no as the car had been given abuild date and as such no changes to the order can be made. I would have thought as it is not being built for another month that I could add the item.

Any thoughts?

They will need to commit to parts sequencing from suppliers / stock, and therefore the parts will be allocated and no changes can be made.
