Mk 2 Tow Bar Electrics

I am waiting for Witter to make the new tow bar for the Mk 2 Octavia estate,(should be ready in 3 weeks) I have got to have this one for the bike rack.What the tow bar fitters have told me that they have to fit the Skoda electric pack and then I will have to go to the main dealers and pay to have it programed in to the car.do any of you know about this.

Sounds like the fitters don't have the necessary know-how to handle the electrics. I commented on my own experiences in a previous towbar thread. I used an independant fitter based in Blackburn who did a fine job, without any problems, and all for
