Well ladies and gentlemen, after lowering my octy vrs the weekend before last i have found out my passenger front shock absorber is nakered.

It won't lower to match the other side and the front is wonky. So it looks like i am goin to have to put coilovers on it.

Am thinking about dropping it 40mm all round.

I've got knocking arb bushes at the mo, a Swmbo that knows nowt about cars and know a guy that's gonna sell me coilovers and arb bushes/droplinks when he comes up north next so a win situation for me lol

And the way to get it round the mrs is telling her its cheaper to buy coilovers than just replace the shocks.

haha i used this for my springs i just bought, hook line. And now its low i just oreder coilovers sent to a mates house. Im self employed so i go out to work fit coilovers and come home shes none the wiser............,. or thats the plan

yup we are all the same..... or is it women are all the same? Regardless, when vehicles are involved you can tell them the laughing shaft has come away from the gigglin stick and you need a new subwoofer for the mot, and look annoyed about it, they are fine.

My mrs is wise now and checks receipts and all drawers, wallets and box's where i may hide stuff, well let's face it i can't really say much now as car tends to look none std with what i have done.

So these days I offer bribes like will get her something shinny.(no not diamonds, maybe a mirror) ,Oh and funny when the mother in law sits in and always falls down into front seat, and states have you lowered this again...Even can't hide it from her these days.

I still can't understand how Swmbo noticed my rarb the first time she got into the car after I fitted it lol

to the OP, will you do before and after pixs. Thinking about fitting weitecs (30mm drop) but area where i live is littered with potholes and traffic calming measures.

Im running kw v1's and there awesome!!

No problems speed bump wise just have to be switched on

Well i have been to pick up my octy after having coilivers fitted, and it is sitting pretty nice even if i do say so myself.

The day before it went in i fitted some 15mm spacers on the front to see what it will look like and noticed i had a cv boot leak, so i have had that sorted aswell. For the grand total of £160. BARGAIN.

Haha. The front were tinted when i got it and some jobsworth copper took a dislike to them and made me take them off. Said they were to dark
