GT4: Fastest "arcade" car around Nurburgring!?

Featured Replies

Just wondering... I've yet to purchase a memory card so have been getting some good practise in, in the arcade section. Of course the Nurburgring HAS been taking up a lot of this time and I've been fiddling with various cars on it trying to see which is quickest. My findings so far, the quickest is:

Toyota Supra "woodmans"(sp?) Basically the furthest right of the range, and then using the "quick tune up" - increase it to around 590bhp and weight down to 990kg ish. So far, despite various crashes still, I've managed the Nurburgring in around 6 minutes 35 seconds. This car brakes incredibly quickly, so I'm thinking that if I be a bit more risky (i.e don't brake when the red flashy thing comes up) I could trim that a little more.

Anyone else found a nice machine in the arcade I could try and beat this time with? ;)

I haven't put a serious time down with it yet, but the Renault 5 rally car (?) is bloody quick when tuned up, sticks to the road well and brakes very quickly. And you can get 185+ down the main straight - in a renault!!!!

A bit twitchy but fun all the same...

The most "fun" car in arcade mode I've found is the AC Cobra - tuned up to 550hp, thats a nightmare to control. Compared to the Toyota touring type Supra, there's no way it competes, despite similar power:weight ratio. :)

What you want to do is whack the economy tyres onto some of these monster machines... and then see if you can get it around the track!!

i had the most enjoyable racing yet last night. pick up series in my f-150 tuned as much as allowable with sports soft tyres and no traction control or esp. great fun indeed
