Long journey

Featured Replies

Hi

Thought I would say how great the vrs was for a long journey fist ever one since I got it. Went from montrose to Alton towers and can say it was great. Only had to fill it up once there and once back got it to do 44.2 mpg which is better than I thought would get.

The best thing I liked about it was the cruise control and the pulling power even when in 7th. So over all is the best car I have ever had for long driving and I am a happy boy still with it.

Glad you like it. I see from your details you have the S2000 .Not sure if your aware but apparently only 20 right hand drive were made out of 200 produced. I also have the S2000 and i love it but couldnt live with the Decals so had all but the roof decals removed. I found the finger pointing a bit strange. Weirdly enough though often i return to my car when parked in town and find people gathered around or mentionng how they love the colour etc

Its a shame they didnt recognise each S2000 like they have the Octavia WRC and place a build or production number in the car. .I have to say though i do love the Fabia but the Octavia VRS is a better car in my opinion after owning both.

Arnold thanks for that I know there was only 20 right hand drive made. I love the stickers on it as it Is different and also makes it rand out lol. The finger pointing and people staring does get anoint but does not bother me as much as it bothers the misses.

I also wish they had a plate or something with the number on it like the old vrs special edition. I would love the Octavia one as well and my dad wold like it to he has the tsfi one. Think next ome would be a vrs octaiva.

I did Ulverston Cumbria to Alton towers, then to Manchester then back home. All in uner half a tank average was ~ 44.0mpg

I have to say it's a very comfortable ride. Went on holiday on the south coast of Ireland and drove all around and back to Bradford and what a comfortable journey it was didn't even miss the cruise control that I had on my old civic.

How did you manage with the fuel after in southern Ireland. Any issues getting 97/99 Ron fuel over there? I remembered one of your posts a few months ago
