Display Minutes/Seconds on Head Unit

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

I have a normal Skoda radio/cassette head unit with 6 CD changer in my 02 Octavia, and it really bugs me that it doesn't show how far into the CD track you are, just the CD number and track number. Is there any way to hack into the setup to alter this? I presume it's because the changer is a separate unit but I would be interested to hear if it is possible.

I'd like to know the answer to this, as it annoys me too! I've got the standard Skoda Symphony single CD headunit.

On the same subject, is there any way of showing the time on the head unit when the radio is on?

Dont think it can be done.

Partly answering my own question, I think most of the reason is that the display is actually quite coarse, made up of black squares about 2mm across, so any fine detail would take up a lot of room.

ps Do the new Octy's have a better display?

Much better, large display with easy to use side function buttons.
