SAI, N112, N249 removal help please, North East area

Featured Replies

Looking to tidy up my engine bay and make the car run a little smoother, but really haven't got a clue where to start, and I'd probably break something too, lol!

Don't suppose there's anyone in the North East who knows what they're doing and would be willing to do it for me/help me out please? Cheers! :hi:

theres loads of guides on here , i done mine , i followed the guide on the pimpmyskoda website

Yeah, that's the guide I've been looking at, but it still confuses me and I'm worried I'd mess it up, so I'd much rather someone else did it for me, if not, I'll probably just leave it well alone. Thanks for the reply.

Anyone help please? ;)

It is not a difficult job to do but will take a good few hours, so are you expecting someone to do this for free, as doubt you are going to get any takers, perhaps you should state what is in it for the person to be interested

There's a great guide on uk-mkivs.net, that's what I followed!

Not expecting to get it done for free, happy to reimburse anyone for their time and patience. :)

yep and in the seat cupra club.

My guide is very good but i lost all the dam links to the pictures

I would buy all new breather pipes including the hard plastic 90 degree bend under inlet manifold as mine fell to bits when i did mine

some of them look to complicated to me , the pimpmyskoda guide is the 1 i used , took me about 3hours and that was takin my time

The pimpmyskoda one confuses me by being too simple, lol!

What parts do I need to buy to do the job? Cheers.

Mate look in the Octavia project journal. Check out Gees RS Estate thread he tells you everything you need in there. 3 resistors(can't remember the ohm-age 330 something or other rings a bell lol), 2 meters of 3/4mm vacuum piping, and a Forge blanking plate or similar. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. I'm about to do this with mine and im local to you mate- work at Revolution Motor Store.

So, looking at removing the unnecessary pipework, is this something like the kit I'll need (shamelessly pinched from another site!) :-

- Blanking Plate

- 4 10w 330OHM Resistors

- 8 feet of 3/4" Hose

- 4 feet of 1/2" Hose

- 4 feet of 5/32" vac line

- 2 3/4" 90 degree PCV Elbows

- 1 3/4" PCV "T"

- 12 Medium Hose Clamps

- 6 Small Hose Clamps

- 1 Pack of Assorted Small Vacuum Caps

- 1 Pack of Large Assorted Vacuum Caps

- 1 Homebrew Catch Can

- G12 Coolant

And where's cheapest to buy all the bits from? Cheers.

Well, cleaned my throttle body today, and had a poke around the engine bay whilst I was in there, all this removal stuff's definitely outside my spec as a mechanic I'm afraid, lol!

Lol it does look like a daunting task but if you remove the items 1 by 1 ie complete the air pump removal, then the N112 etc it should all fall into place. When I get mine done I'll give you a shout mate. I haven't got my car atm otherwise I would have had it done by now - paternity leave lol

its not that hard mate , use to could meet at mine and al supervise yous if yous want
