Hi peeps, still fairly new to the forum but its been very helpful so far with anything ive needed to know, and also led me to buying Skinnymans VRS!

Currently trying to convince myself not to start playing about with the VRS.

If i had the money i could easily spend about 3K of mods that ive noticed from other members on here.

But im resisting at the mo as i know how easy it is to get carried away!

BUT one thing that doesnt work for me is the chrome grille!!!

Alot of people on here have wrapped theirs in vinyls, this is a possible cheap fix, but how hard is it to do?

I can turn my hands to most things but never tried vinyl before. How does the Skoda badge come off?

Also one other quick question, ive found a couple of aftermarket grilles(FK etc) But find it hard to believe that i cant seem to find one out there that uses a matching style mess to the original bottom grilles, is this the case? Or is there some out there im missing?

FK ones fit badly. At the moment a lot of people are raving about plastidip. Easy to put on and take off

I've done grill in carbon vinyl, but it is coming off in corners. So will be taking it off, and will probably paint it matt/gloss black and put some hardener on.

When I wrapped it, it was first time ever I tried something like that, but it wasn't that hard, as you can peel it off and then stick it on again. Not hard at all, and badge is glued to the grill. You can see two ping at the back of the grill.

i wrapped mine in gloss fablon. still mint and stone chip free.

I got my octy and said id leave it standard , just wanted a nice car that i didnt have to mess with

Plastidip spray. Easy to apply a few coats between 20 min drying time and job done simples !

When you say plastidip is easy to come off does that mean you don't need to do any prep to the paint work first other than clean/degrease as I'd like to do my grill too

Yep that's correct Easy prep just clean and apply. I did paint mine first in black magic and prepared well it took ages and eventually chipped after a few months. But Plastidip is much better !

Any idea how much we'd need to do a set of spiders?

Going to do my RS4's soon. I'm sure I read somewhere its about 3 cans. Its just a shame you can't get the gun metal colour over here like you can in the US!
