Update to Revo power loss

Featured Replies

I posted previously about a reduction in power after Revo remap.

Took it back to Revo agent who was very good (Bigboystoys in lakeside Thurrock).

They hooked up a laptop and ran some diagnotics. No fault codes evident. Also checked all turbo hoses for tight fit.

Also checked the MAF whilst driving. max reading under full throttle found to be 12495. Agent says this should be 14000 and this could possibly be problem.

They suggested that I take back to dealer to replace MAF under warranty. Has anyone had experience of doing this and how do dealers react. How was fault explained to them.

I would estimate that I now have 80% of the perfromance first experienced after the remap. This tuning thing is addictive though and I am not willing to settle for less than 100% of the performance I shelled out

you paid 800 quid for a revo?????

Well if you go to a dealer and say "I've had my car remapped and now it's running slow" they will laugh and tell you to go away.

And if they drive it, it'll feel like all the others ;) Have you changed the air filter, or anything induction wise that could affect your MAF?

Chris

Maybe they can put it back to standard and then you can take it to your local dealer and say it's feeling sluggish. Dont know if it will work or not, as it's been said on here before dont play unless you able to pay.

Hope you get it sorted

get a tunning box! no warranty probs there!!
