Have a 170DSG...great engine but expensive to tax in IRL €480 per year and obviously more thirsty than a 100 or 140HP. I had a loan Greenline from my Annesley Williams my friendly Skoder dealer here in Dublin while my own was getting a 60K service. I found the Greenline well powered and quite nice to drive but I didn't like the manual gearbox.

Considering that the same 1.6 litre engine is mated to a DSG in the Octy would there be any chance Skoda would ever offer the 100hp / DSG combo in a Superb

Anyone ???

They do a 1.4TSI DSG don't they?

Pardon the Pun, but the 1.6 CR wit der DSG is a Superb combination in the Octavia.
