Boot Length

Featured Replies

I'm thinking of buying a Yeti either for myself or my wife. She, however has specific boot size requirements, due to using a powered wheelchair. I believe the rear seats slide (?) and wondered if anyone knows the boot floor length with the seats slid forward? Also in this position is there any rear legroom?

Am I right they slide, or do they just tilt up out of the way?

Cheers.

Have a look at the image in post #3 of this thread http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/188460-yeti-boot-dimensions/#entry2252644

The two outside seats slide around 3 inches or so. The centre seat doesn't slide. All seats can tumble forward or be removed independently. There is still a good amount of legroom with the rear seats fully forward, though if the front seats are fully back it helps to have shorter legs!

This thread has some pictures of what you can fit in - http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/236642-how-big-is-a-yetis-boot/

Thanks Martin, I feel it is probably going to be too short for a wheelchair.

Do you need all 3 rear seats? One option could be to remove an outer seat and centre seat. Then gives a large load bay + 1 rear seat (as long as the rear passenger doesn't mind being next to whatever is being carried).

The only way to be sure would be to take the wheelchair to the dealer and try it. Oh, I've just noticed your location, does that mean you have to get your feet wet to find a dealer?

unhelpful local dealer. But having just measured current car (Octavia) we need a length of 950mm really, so that rules out Yeti for her.

Don't NEED rear seats, but do take passengers sometimes, so wouldn't be prepared to make the sacrafice.

Yeti can be mine then (2nd car) and she can have something bigger.

...we need a length of 950mm really....

950 mm x what? What's the full footprint and height?

Width and height isn't a problem, especially height. It's the length I was concerned about.
