I've noticed in the posts about cleaning out your Intercooler and pipes that everyone seems to use carb cleaner before sluicing through with soapy water and I just wondered if you could use brake cleaner to do the same job?

The thought behind it is that brake cleaner might be a little more aggressive and do a better job of getting any sludge out. (My car is an '04 and I don't know if it has been done before).

I am going to do the CC V Mod so thought I would clean up and try to get everything sparkling (as much as you can anyway) at the same time.

Any idea's opinions?

Brake cleaners awesome for completely cutting through oil and crap. It'd be my number one choice! It evaporates away pretty much too
