Hi there

I'm currently looking at buying a new (to me) car, but choosing between a Suzuki Swift Sport and Fabia VRS is proving difficult.

Has anyone gone from one to the other, or have experience of them both. I know the swift is brilliant to drive, but I do like the fact the Fabia is bigger and more economical. Can anyone offer advice?

Also is the Fabia really quicker than the swift ? The official times say no but I'm lead to believe otherwise.

Thanks in advance

Official times are rubbish :p.

I'm rocking a regular furby 1.9tdi and my 0-60 time is 10.3 seconds with 2 in the car up a slip road XD.

It's supposed to be 11.1 on flat!

Do the right thing, get the vrs.

It's made from meaner stuff ;D

I really can't see a swift sport keeping up with a Fabia... They're nice cars n'all but won't have half of the grunt that a vRS does! Plus getting 400+ miles to a tank is fantastic.

I've just driven a Suzuki swift sport (the old 5 speed one) at the nurburgring and it was amazing fun! I was able to pass all sorts of exotica lol! Freddy the owner of the cars is able to to do a mid 8 min lap of the ring which is fast.Huge fun with only 130bhp Recommended!!!

The vrs has lots more power for sure and if power is everything to you then you need a vrs.

The trump card for the swift is that it will make a mockery of the vrs in trems of reliability. These car are bomb proof.

The rental cars at the nurburgring are thrashed all day and every day by all sorts of people and take it on the chin with no problems. One was sold recently with 59k Kilometers on the clock of which every one was done on the ring and it had nothing but routine maintenance parts replaced.

Edit... When i mentioned reliability i thought we were talking about the oil guzzling 1.4 tsi lol!

Anyway this is a pic of my Swift lap.
