Extension hose to Pressure Washer

Featured Replies

I have a pressure washer with just 1 Bar pressure. I find it awkward getting round the car because the high pressure hose is so short. I have seen a 10 metre extension hose on the internet but an worried that by the time the water / snow foam gets to the `gun` it'll just be a trickle. Are my concerns justified?

Thank you all. Thats put my mind at rest.

I work for a hose manufacturing company Hydrasun. Pressure hoses are designed in such a way that the pressure loss in minimal over distance. I presume your hose to the lance is 1/2inch? To reduce pressure loss you could use 3/8 or 1/4 inch hose with 1/2 inch ends. Overall you shouldn't notice significant difference in pressure over 10m.

If you need any hose ends or adapters give me a shout I see if I can nick some lol

Good Morning, Gregie. Following the comments from the guys above, I went and ordered one from Amazon (a 7 metre one) which I'm waiting to arrive later this week. I've just measured the hose that came with the washer and its 3/8 inch. I'm assuming that the extension hose will be the same. Thank you for your reply and for your offer of help. I'm hoping that all will be well when I use the extended lance. All the best. mike.

I've got one of the B&Q Expand it hoses and it's great. Works a treat with my Karcher and no noticeable pressure loss.

It means the PW can stay in one place while I wash - much better.
