Heelp!

Can someone tell me step by step how to set up a new exchange mailbox and then put a forwarder on to a external address? its win2k3 and exchange 2k3 (it says 6.5)

:o - The ms guru is off on holiday... and it needs doing

I've only got limited experience of Exchange 5.5 but it might be worth a shot.

File

New Custom Recipiant

Choose Internet Address from the list

Then fill in all the information you are asked for.

Hope that helps.

Im trying to set this guy up as a new user.. on the server

when i get to the add exchange mailbox section it wont let me continue as its not showing any message stores available.

edit.. sorted this bit (my permissions)

Custom recipients have disappeared in Exchange 2k3 - in AD users and computers you need to create a contact with the external address as its smtp address then in the user properties, exchange advanced (or exchange general maybe!) delivery options - you can tell it to either forward to the contact or deliver to both the contact and the mailbox.
