De-Cat without engine light

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

new to the vag scene, been hearing rumours about De-Cats with the lambda sensor in a place that doesn't set off the engine management light. any ideas on a link to which de-cat it is, a lot of talk about tit being on ebay?

cheers

A lot of talk about a "tit" on ebay, I bet there was.. :giggle:

To be honest most decat will be ok and not cause a cell light to come on. Some folks are unluckly and a cell comes on, it is not really because there are various decats that are better then each other to avoid this.

But here is a good example of a decat I have fitted and does not cause me a cell light.

bowders, you still happy with your decat? cell? running right?

looking at the same item you see...

I had that on mine and found it difficult to get turbo bolts to fit as pipe had been welded slightly off centre to flange and if vosa stop you for any reason then there is no cat there.

I would get other one on ebay with box in it then at least it looks like there is one there

I've got an eBay decat on and my engine light has came on after about 100 miles . I've got a vagcom I'll just turn it off each time .
